Taas! - Another!

Uhkailin tumppujen valmistuttua että jäljellejääneistä langoista syntyisi patalappuja. No, syntyi kyllä mutta vain yksi.

I told after the felted mittens were finished, that the rest of the yarn is going to become potholders once. Well, they did, but there's only one.

Tein neljä dominotilkkua, poimien uuden tilkun silmukat edellisen luontireunasta. Jätin pääosin langanpäät päättelemättä kun nakkasin lappusen pesukoneeseen ja leikkasin ne sitten pesun jälkeen. Ajatteln etteivät huopuessaan purkaannu kuitenkaan, eivätkä tehneetkään.

Hyvä tuli, tämmöisessä kun ei koolla ole muuten niin väliä kuin että se suojaa näpit. Ja hyvin suojaa, testasin tänään kun otin synttärikakkua uunista. :)

I made four mitered squares, no seaming, just picked up the stitches for the new square from the CO of the one made earlier. I didn't sew in the ends either, just threw the thing into the washer and cut the ends afterwards. I thought the they wouldn't do anything bad as they were felting.

This is just big enough to keep my fingers from burning, tested already and liked as well.

Tumput - Mittens

Kuulin että eräällä pienellä miehellä on ensi viikolla synttärit ja totta kai setäpuolen vaimoke kutaisi äijämäiset tumput.

I just heard that a certain young man I know has his birthday coming up next week and of course, since I'm the girlfriend of his step-uncle, I had to knit (and felt) mittens for him

Lanka: Novita Huopanen
Puikot: 8,0 mm sukkapuikot
Ohje: Vyötteestä, mutta vähemmän silmukoita ja vähän lyhyemmät kuin ohjeessa
Lankaa meni melkein kerällinen (tulossa patalappu lopuista)
Fiilikset: Tykkään! Eka huovutusjuttu joka todella onnistui (Kiitos uusiokäyttöisen Rosenlewin, luulen)

Yarn: Novita Huopanen, 100 % wool, for felting
Needles: 8,0 mm dpns
Pattern: from the ball, but with less stitches and little shorter than mentioned in the instructions
I used one ball, so less than 100 g of the yarn
Feelings: Me likeee!! These are just lovable. The first felted FO, I'm really happy with (I think it's mainly because of out new washing machine)

Eikä näissä mennyt kuin kaks iltaa kutoen, plus huovutus kolmantena, samalla kun elämäni ensimmäinen oikeesti tehty lihakeitto porisi liedellä.

Liharuuilta ei tässä taloudessa voi välttyä, kun Mieheke metsästää, mutta mie en yleensä ole se joka laittaa jauheliharuokaa tai kanaa kummempaa ruokaa. En tykkää käsitellä raakaa lihaa, toisinsanoen. Mutta tästä tuli hyvää keittoa, nam. =D

The mittens only took two nights to knit plus felting in the washer on the third -as te first ever meat soup I've made was simmering on the stove.

One can't avoid eating meat in this household, because the BF hunts and brings his game home. I'm just not the one preparing the meat usually, apart from ground meat and chicken. I don't like handling raw meat that much, to tell the truth. But this soup ended tasting great, yummy! =D
